Human motion analysis has been widely accepted as investigative and diagnostic tools in the field of medicine, sports, and kinesiology.

Research works at Monash University Malaysia cover a wide range of topics on the fundamentals of human gait and posture i.e. gait stability and gait asymmetry, and topics related to sports performance monitoring and analysis.

Relevant technologies to quantify and to analyze human motion in a 3D environment are utilized and investigated too e.g. motion tracking system; force and pressure sensors, wireless inertial sensors and biofeedback mechanisms.
