Undergraduate Research Opportunity

Topic: Electrospinning of Chitosan Membranes

Student: Mr. Maziyar Makaremi

Supervisor: Dr. Pooria Pasbakhsh

In this UROP project, Maziyar Makaremi, a third year mechanical engineering student, had the opportunity to do a 12 weeks research project during his free times (2-4 hours per week) in Semester 1/2013 and subsequently, he furthered his interest to do his Final Year Project under the supervision of Dr Pooria Pasbakhsh on “Electrospun PAN-halloysite membranes for water filtration applications”.

Maziyar was given the opportunity to present part of his work in International Symposium of Functional Materials (ISAFM 2014) which was held in Monash University Malaysia from 1-2 August 2014.
