Monash Graduate Research Merit Scholarships

Availability

For all research degrees in priority areas of research at Monash University Malaysia.

Eligibility

Applicants must meet the minimum admission requirements (academic and English language proficiency) for the relevant research degree. In general, this is equivalent to a high distinction average (H1 or First Class Honours) from a recognised university. Selection for a scholarship will be based on academic achievement for each discipline as determined by Monash University Malaysia.

Benefits

Each scholarship covers 100% of the tuition fees, plus a living allowance as follows:

Master of Engineering (Research) - RM2,200/month (up to 24 months of candidature).

Doctor of Philosophy - RM2,200/month (up to 42 months of candidature).

Documentations required to evaluate scholarship applicants (CV, referee reports, academic transcript, and qualification) will be extracted directly from HigherDREAMS. Any additional documents required from the candidate will be requested directly from School Research Office.

There are also a number of scholarships available for selected projects (see 'Stipend Available' column in the table), which cover Stipend (monthly financial allowance) and/or Tuition Fee Waiver for outstanding and deserving candidates. Additional scholarships may be available from the following schemes.

MyBrain15 (Ministry of Education (MOE))

The MyBrain15 (MyMaster and MyPhD) program is a scholarship for Malaysian full-time postgraduate students, offered by the Ministry of Education (MOE). For this year, Ministry of Education has announced 5,000 MyPhD scholarships and 15,000 MyMaster scholarships will be offered to all eligible students.
